What is the Suzuki Institute?

The ChiZiibii Suzuki Institute provides instruction and enrichment classes for cello, viola and violin students studying in volumes 1-10 of the Suzuki repertoire. In addition, recitals, concerts, and parent lectures are an important part of the week’s activities. Participation in a weeklong program provides a concentrated form of instruction that stimulates and motivates students and parents.

The ChiZiibii Suzuki Institute is geared toward families and includes parent education, lectures at no additional charge, and optional classes for siblings. As a smaller institute with limited enrollment, the ChiZiibii Suzuki Institute promotes friendship among musicians from different communities by providing opportunities for students and parents to become acquainted with other participants during informal events.

Please note that “pre-Twinkle” classes are not offered at the institute. Students must have mastered at least the “Twinkle Variations.”
