Student Curriculum

Instruction is based on Suzuki principles and is a family experience. The program is designed with the understanding that parents will be involved as they are at home, attending all classes, helping children practice and prepare for the next day’s classes, and supervising their children. All students will participate in the following classes:

Master Class

This class will include 3 or 4 students of approximately the same age and level with one teacher. Students will receive individual instruction for a portion of the time and learn by observing each other.

Repertoire Class

This class of 8-12 students will focus on the group’s performance of the Suzuki repertoire and supplemental music as they polish technical and musical skills with others.

Large Group Class (Student Orchestras)

Students will be placed in either beginning or advanced orchestra depending on their level of study and music reading abilities. Information requested on the Student Registration Form is essential for placing students in the appropriate orchestra.

Enrichment Classes

All students will participate in an enrichment class.
