January Events

Happy New Year to our students and families!

January is an exciting month as our students return from Christmas break! We look forward to another great semester of private lessons.

The schedule for art classes and events for January has something for everyone!

Pottery Classes will start Monday, January 9. Classes are available for students ages 8-13, and 14-Adults!
Youth Orchestra will resume practice on Tuesdays at 4:00-5:00pm. New students welcome!
Brass Choir will also resume practice, date and time TBA.
Beginning Violin Group will start a new session on January 4. This class is for beginners who want to learn a string instrument!
Acrylic Painting Workshop will be held at HSMA and led by local artist Shannon Lucas Westrum. Saturday, January 21.
Winter Writers Retreat will meet Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27 & 28 for their fifth annual retreat. Join this creative workshop!
Puppet Workshops with Margaret Burger will start on Wednesday, January 11. This is for ages 7-18. This workshop is all about art creativity and fun!

Music and Memories

"My dad used to sing that to me every night!"

Such are the words often heard at our Music and Memories class at Neilson Place. Every Thursday afternoon at 1 pm, Fawn leads a class with the residents. Each week is focused on a theme, and she plays and sings familiar music to the residents.
