Our Story

Amayah is one of our star students here at the Headwaters School. She began taking piano lessons when she was 7 years old, and has continued taking lessons over the past five years in piano and guitar. She is now 12 years old, and it has been a joy to see her musical progress over the years.

Amayah says she likes music because, "It's a place where I can get out of the world for a little while." She loves music so much that while practicing a difficult piece a few months ago, she claims she literally fell asleep on the piano! That is true dedication and perseverance!

She may only be 12, but has an extreme assortment of interests and hobbies she is involved in, including: gymnastics, pow-wows, track, percussion, swimming, ballet, dance, skateboarding, and snowboarding.
