Janet Brademan

Executive Director

 

Fawn Bakken

Piano

Fawn Bakken is currently in her eighth year of teaching private piano lessons at the Headwaters School of Music & the Arts. In 2006, she graduated from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. She has played and performed in churches, schools, and theaters, and is an active accompanist for choirs, vocalists, and instrumentalists. She is passionate about teaching music, and it is one of her greatest joys.

Tom Daly

Clay Sculpture/Art

Tom Daly has been an art instructor at Headwaters School of Music & the Arts for the past seven years. His clay sculptures have been exhibited at regional art shows and he currently operates a catalog business catering to pet stores, Tom’s Aquatic Ceramics. Tom lives with his wife, Dionne, in the Bemidji area.

Caleb Erickson

Guitar

Caleb has been teaching guitar and bass at the Headwaters School of Music & Arts since 2005. He is a recent graduate of Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Caleb is also a singer/songwriter who participates ina few local bands.

Barbara Fisher

Piano

Barbara Fisher began piano lessons with teachers in central Missouri at age 9. At 14, she began organ lessons with the church organist. Barb has been a church musician playing piano and organ off and on since the late 1960’s. For the last few years she has played for weekly services, weddings, funerals, and has accompanied soloists as well as the choir. She has instructed piano at Headwaters School of Music & the Arts for the past four years. Barbara is the mother of 3 grown children and is a community mental health practitioner in Bemidji

Jessica Fisher

Andrew Green

Composition, Guitar, Viola, Violin

Andrew Green is a composer of music ranging from solo instruments to full orchestra. In college, he played piano, guitar and bass in several jazz ensembles. In 2004, Andy received his music degree from Bemidji State University, then attended the University of Wisconsin Madison for graduate studies in music composition. As a performer, he plays violin in the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra and has been involved in other performances around Bemidji.

 Julia Lamon

Marina Lovell

Piano

Marina is from Sussex, England, where she started playing the piano at the age of three. She studied piano performance accompaniment and singing at Dartington College of Art and became a sought-after performer in England. Marina has been a piano instructor at Headwaters School of Music & Arts since 1997.

 

 

Cyrus Pansch

Double Bass

Cyrus began as an instructor of the double bass in the fall of 2008. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris with a Bachelor of Arts in 2003. Cy achieved three majors – Music Performance: Double Bass; Music Business; and Business Management. Prior to moving to Bemidji in 2008, Cyrus was a Vendor Inventory Coordinator with Sony BMG Music Entertainment in Minneapolis, MN.

 

 

 

Katelyn Tingelstad

Violin

Katelyn started out at HSMA as a student at age 6 in the Suzuki Violin program. During her high school years she played violin/guitar and sang in a bluegrass gospel band called "Freedom's Call." Katelyn continues to enjoy singing and playing in church. She is in her third year of nursing school in Bemidji. Katelyn started teaching violin and fiddle at Headwaters in 2009.
