Solo Recitals

All students are invited to perform in solo recitals, which are held daily. Students need not audition to participate in a solo recital. However, to facilitate scheduling the students for both performance and rehearsal with the institute accompanist, students must sign up in advance and indicate on their Student Registration Form which piece they will perform.

The solo piece a student selects should not be their current piece of study, and clinicians will not help the students prepare for their solo recital performance during the institute. Therefore the student’s home program teacher is asked to help the student select a piece that has had repeated study and that the student enjoys playing, then help the student prepare the piece so that it is performance-ready by the time the institute begins.

Performance and rehearsal schedule will not be available until registration on July 12th.
