Songwriting Class

Composer and musician Andrew Green will be teaching Beginning and Intermediate songwriting classes. Learn how to write music and lyrics, and create finished songs.

At the end of the final session there will be the opportunity to perform the songs you have created. Bring your instruments, writing notebooks, and pencils to each session.

Beginning Songwriting

Dates: Saturdays, October 2, 9, 16, & 23

Time: 12:30pm-2:30pm

Cost: The cost of the entire four week session is $75.

Intermediate Songwriting

Dates: Saturdays, October 2, 9, 16, & 23

Time: 3:00pm-5:00pm

Cost: The cost of the entire four week session is $75.

Drama Camp for Kids!...Postponed to March Spring Break, 2011!

HSMA has invited Positive Kids Performing Arts of Superior, WI, to partner with us for a week long drama camp! The play is "Stone in the Road" by Kristi Thielen.

This play is casting students who have completed 2nd-6th grade.  

The cast will travel through the Kingdom of Parmesan-- a fun, lighthearted journey of life experiences! There will be a final performance at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse. 

Each day, Monday-Friday, will begin at HSMA from 9:00am and end at 4:00pm. Students should bring a bag lunch each day.

Cost of the full week camp is $100 per child.

MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS 2010!

Join us at the Bemidji Paul Bunyan Mall on Saturday, December 4th for a 2:00pm performance!

All Tuba and Euphonium players are encouraged to call the Headwaters School of Music & the Arts at 218-444-5606 to sign up and be part of this Christmas tradition.

Please call to register by November 30th. There will be one rehearsal on Saturday morning at 10:00am on December 4th at Headwaters School, located at 519 Minnesota Ave in downtown Bemidji.
